About this course
Lean Six Sigma combines removing waste (Lean) with reducing variation (Six Sigma). A Green Belt can lead improvement projects of limited scope independently and contributes to larger projects.
The course follows the DMAIC phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. You learn to define a problem sharply, support it with data, find root causes and make improvements stick.
Courses are delivered by experienced professionals with relevant subject expertise and, where applicable, through specialised training partners.

Exam and certification
There is no single central body that governs Lean Six Sigma certification for everyone. How the course is completed, for example with an exam or a practical project, and which organisation issues the certificate depend on the training partner and are stated in the offer.
On successful completion you receive a Green Belt certificate from the organisation concerned.
In-company training
As a closed in-company course, the programme can be linked to real improvement projects in your organisation, so that what is learned is applied straight away.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Green Belt and Black Belt?
A Green Belt leads improvement projects of limited scope and contributes to larger ones. A Black Belt leads complex, cross-departmental projects, uses more advanced statistics and coaches Green Belts.
Do I need prior knowledge?
Usually no specific prior knowledge is required, although experience with processes in your own work helps. We agree the exact entry requirements with you per variant.
Do I need to complete my own improvement project?
That differs per variant. Some courses require a practical project as part of completion, others end with an exam. This is stated in the offer.
Does Lean Six Sigma apply outside manufacturing?
Yes. Lean Six Sigma is widely used, including in healthcare, financial services, logistics and government.
