When you contact us through the contact form or by e-mail, we process only:
• your name;
• your contact details;
• the content of your message.

2.2 Data you provide when applying for a position
When you submit a job application, Vedeum processes:
• your name;
• your contact details;
• your CV and motivation letter.

2.3 Technical and log data
Our hosting provider automatically processes:
• IP addresses;
• date and time of the request;
• browser and device information (user-agent).

This processing is technically necessary to keep the website available, secure and stable. No tracking or profiling takes place.

3. Purposes of processing

We process your data exclusively for:
• responding to your message;
• handling job applications;
• handling feedback;
• technical security and functionality of the website;
• complying with legal obligations that apply to us.
We do not use automated decision-making, profiling, or marketing tracking.

4. Legal basis for processing

4.1 Processing of your personal data takes place on the following grounds:
• your consent, for example for questions or job applications;
• performance of a contract;
• compliance with legal obligations;
• legitimate interests, such as security or essential client administration.

4.2 If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting info@vedeum.nl. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

5. Retention periods

• contact requests: up to 2 years after completion;
• job applications: up to 4 weeks after the procedure ends, or up to 1 year if employment follows;
• contact form: the form on this website does not store messages. Your message is sent to Vedeum by e-mail straight away through our hosting provider's mail server and is then kept only as an e-mail (see contact requests).
• abuse prevention for the contact form: to limit spam, the form counts how many messages are sent from one internet address (at most five per ten minutes). For this, a hashed, non-reversible representation of your IP address and the times of sending are kept briefly; these counters are deleted automatically once they are no longer needed.

Personal data is only shared when necessary for our services or if legally required.

6. Service providers performing technical processing

Personal data is not shared for commercial purposes.
Only technically necessary processing takes place by:
• our hosting provider (for server logs and website availability);
• our e-mail provider (for delivering your message).

These parties process data solely according to our instructions and not for their own purposes. No data is sold or rented. We do not use advertising networks, social-media pixels, or external analytics services.

7. Security

Vedeum takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse and loss. The website uses minimal functionality and contains no tracking technologies. Multi-factor authentication is used for secure access.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer your data, and withdraw consent. You may submit a request via info@vedeum.nl.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

This website does not currently place any cookies. No data is collected, stored or shared through cookies.

9.2 No cookie banner required
Because no cookies are placed, consent is not required and a cookie banner is not needed.

9.3 Future changes
Should Vedeum use cookies in the future (for example for analytics or embedded third-party services), this privacy policy will be updated in advance and, where legally required, a cookie banner will be added so you can give your consent.
